~~~ Blog Update ~~~
This Xanga blog will have no more new updates anymore. Please go to http://www.hkmoo.com or search for admin@hkmoo.com in Facebook if you are interested.
~~~ Quotes ~~~
Whoever: 今次SMC去德國,實行搞到一鑊泡,80個去,81個番
Whoever: 一山還有一山高,一眉更有一更粗

~~~ Photog 論 ~~~
也許,不 Photoshop,是我對攝影的一份執著
What's the point of intensive photoshopping? With intensive photoshopping, even the most ordinary photo from a card-sized-digital-camera can be better than any photos taken using a DSLR.
It's ok to crop, rotate, adjust brightness, reset white balance, and a minimum setting of contrast.
I agree, and I admit that photos look better after photoshopping, but it doesn't mean that we can go and create 'fake photos'.  By then, is that 'photography' - or actually it's 'photoshopgraphy'?
DSLR 不是一件拍 Video 的工具
"Kachak-kachak-kachak-kachak-kachak-kachak-kachak"
Yea, it sounds great. People around you look amazed at the performance of your camera.
Continuous shooting may be useful in some circumstances (e.g. sports, minimize hand-shake), but do we have to use it everytime we take photos?
After taking few dozens of photos that look so similiar, it is not the one who owns the camera feel sorry for the wasted-shutter-counts, nor the one who owns the memory card feel sorry for the wasted memory, it is the one who picks the acceptable photos and delete the rest.
After all, we've managed to find a few good-looking photos out of the dozens that sucks, then we publish 'those few' - What's the point?
It proves that we are great at phototaking because we manage to 'hit' a few good photos out of the dozens?
Digital life? It spoils us, somehow. Yet, DSLR is really convinient, that's something that can never be denied.
~~~ Music & Soundtracks ~~~
Made a new xanga jukebox, thx to loys for giving me the link =P
Anyway, find your way down, and you might be able to pick up some tunes that you have heard of before, especially the ones near the top.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End:
I'm gonna watch it on the 23rd =P
Anyway, download the soundtrack if you like to listen it before you go to watch it. Trust me, it's a totally different 'feel' and 'depth' if you haven listened it before watching.

The POC3 soundtrack is so complex, so sophisticated, so grand. It's not 'another-POC' soundtrack

~~~ Quotes ~~~
Diocesan Spirit
Feel it through the photos.
Photographers are always the coolest ones
They never have any emotions no matter how happy the people around are.
~~~ National Geographic - WE WON ~~~
Yep, we won.
We won the Best Script award, and the National Geographic Channel Think Again Shield
with one documentary.
We pwn (sorta =P) other 120 teams by grabbing 2 prizesThx to the skl for letting us continue to 'steal' the Sony2000 and Jason's uncle for lending us the 170.And many other people.

Here is the documentary:

~~~ Athletics Meet 2007 ~~~
Finals was actually the first day that I get to take photos of the A-Meet event as a photog team member. That day, I've found the 'photog feel' after being lost for a few months. I was so afraid that I would take those 'for-record' photos like the ones I took in sports day.
Somehow taking photos during A-Meet is more comfortable than in Sports Day - maybe it's becuz you feel that you're doing something more meaningful, or just that they have some girls' event to let you rest.
The LaSalle group was really wud-gay in cheering, esp those 2 drums, and their cheering voice really echoed in/out of the stadium (reflected back by the buildng opposite, the SPCA one)
Anyway, photos
^ Diocesan cheering team
I somehow like this photo, if it's taken with a longer lens
100m Boys @ the very moment that he crossed the line + victorious return
Although we didn't win, but we have tried our best
~~~ Choir Finals 2007 ~~~
Yep, just 4 days after A-meet, there is the choir finals;
Obviously many choir members screwed their voices in the a-meet.
Yet we still won, over the many ups and downs this year.
Sometimes you just have to lose something before you can really, win. Really win.

What am I trying to say...

well, this was actually 2 awards. first awaiting pic is the choir of the year, first happy pic comes from the best mixed choir, and the bottom first one comes from the 'choir of the year' when they adjudicator said SC, while the 2nd one comes from the time when the adjudicator corrected his mistake
